BURLINGTON — A multi-vehicle collision on Highway 401 resulted in one fatality and two injuries, according to authorities.
The incident involved four cars, occurring near the Maple Avenue exit at approximately 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Emergency responders, including local fire and rescue teams, arrived at the scene shortly after the crash and transported the injured individuals to a nearby hospital.
Authorities confirmed the deceased was a 26-year-old male driver of one of the cars.
Two lanes of the highway were closed for several hours while an investigation took place, and vehicles were towed from the scene.
