MISSOULA, Mont. — A 49-year-old woman from Butte was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 Sunday afternoon, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. near mile marker 132 in Silver Bow County. Authorities report that the woman was driving a Honda Ridgeline southbound when the vehicle veered off the road, descended an embankment, and struck a delineator post before overturning.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle as she was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The road conditions were dry at the time of the accident, and investigators stated there are no indications of alcohol, drugs, or excessive speed being factors in the crash.
The woman's name has not yet been disclosed. Further investigations are ongoing.
