Auburn Man Dies After Crash on Route 101 in Candia

An Auburn man died after being rescued from a burning vehicle following a crash on Route 101 in Candia early Wednesday morning.

Authorities said the incident occurred around 2:41 a.m. when two vehicles collided near Exit 3. The victim, a 34-year-old man, was trapped inside his vehicle, which caught fire after the crash. Good Samaritans intervened, pulling him from the vehicle before emergency responders arrived.

Emergency services, including the Candia Fire Department and local police, responded to the scene and provided medical aid. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Two passengers in the second vehicle sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment at the scene. The roadway was partially closed for several hours while investigators assessed the crash site and cleared the wreckage.

The cause of the collision is under investigation, and authorities have not released the identities of those involved. The New Hampshire State Police is leading the investigation and has urged any witnesses to contact them with information.
