COTTAGE GROVE, OR — A car crash closed Interstate 5 on the afternoon of June 30, approximately 3 miles south of Cottage Grove at milepost 172.
Authorities said the incident involved two vehicles, leading to minor injuries. Emergency responders from the Oregon State Police and local fire departments provided medical aid at the scene.
The freeway has since reopened, but the Oregon Department of Transportation advises travelers to proceed with caution and yield to first responders still active in the area.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
