Trooper Jacob Mick Dies in Off-Duty Motorcycle Accident in Grafton.

Trooper Jacob Mick, 31, of the Massachusetts State Police, died in a crash on Sunday evening, authorities said.

The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of Providence Road and Milford Road, involving at least two vehicles and a motorcycle. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash was reported by Grafton Police.

Colonel Geoffrey Noble expressed condolences, stating, “He was a proud Trooper and public servant who never hesitated to answer the call. We remember and honor Trooper Mick's years of service to the Commonwealth and the Department.”

Mick was a graduate of the 88th Recruit Training Troop, completing training in 2023. He was a classmate of Trooper Kevin Trainor, who lost his life in a wrong-way crash last month.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Worcester County District Attorney's Office, with no further details about injuries or lane closures available at this time.
