BERTIE COUNTY, NC — BERTIE COUNTY, N.C. — A Windsor woman has been charged with driving while impaired following a vehicle crash on Sunday, June 28.
According to the Bertie County Sheriff's Office, first responders arrived at the 400 block of Governors Road after reports of an overturned vehicle.
Authorities identified the driver as 24-year-old Shakina Lashay Gilliam. She has been charged with driving while impaired, failing to wear a seatbelt, and driving left of center.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. Officials have not confirmed any injuries related to the crash or additional details about the event.
