A multi-vehicle accident occurred on I-25 northbound near Mile Marker 145 at approximately 2:15 p.m. today.
Authorities said the incident involved four vehicles, resulting in two serious injuries and one fatality. The deceased has not yet been identified.
Emergency responders from the Colorado State Patrol and local fire departments arrived promptly to assist the injured and direct traffic.
Witnesses reported that the lead vehicle collided with another before triggering a chain reaction. Traffic in both northbound and southbound lanes is heavily affected, with lane closures in place.
According to authorities, an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
