Driver Speeding at 70 MPH Leads to Crash on Highway 101
A crash occurred on Highway 101 at approximately 2:41 p.m. on October 15, involving one vehicle that was traveling at roughly 70 miles per hour, authorities said.
The single vehicle lost control and crashed near the exit to Main Street. Emergency responders from the local Fire Department and Police Department arrived on the scene shortly after the incident. One individual sustained serious injuries and was transported to Regional Medical Center for treatment. No fatalities were reported, according to officials.
Authorities closed the right lane of Highway 101 for approximately two hours while the scene was secured and cleared. A tow truck was dispatched to remove the damaged vehicle.
