Derry Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of Local Man
DERRY, NH — A motorcycle crash in Derry on Sunday evening resulted in the death of a 61-year-old man.
According to Derry police, officers responded to a serious motor vehicle accident on Island Pond Road at approximately 5:23 p.m. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found a single motorcycle involved in the incident and initiated life-saving measures for the driver.
The driver, identified as Christopher Chick of Derry, was transported by ambulance to Parkland Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Island Pond Road was closed for several hours for an investigation but has since reopened to traffic. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
