MANCHESTER, NH — One person is dead following a collision between an electric bike and a dump truck on South Mammoth Road on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. Authorities said the cyclist, identified as a 34-year-old male, was struck by the truck while traveling northbound. Emergency responders from the Manchester Fire Department arrived on the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but the cyclist was shortly thereafter.

Witnesses reported seeing the collision unfold, noting that the truck was making a turn when the accident occurred. The driver of the dump truck remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, according to the police.

The roadway was closed for several hours while the Manchester Police Department conducted an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. It is unclear if charges will be filed at this time.
