COLUMBIA, N.H. — A head-on collision on Route 3 left a woman dead and five others hospitalized on Friday night.
Just after 9 p.m., emergency responders arrived at the scene of the crash involving a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro. Authorities reported that the Camaro, traveling northbound, crossed the centerline and struck the Silverado, which was moving southbound.
The Silverado was occupied by a family of five, including two adults and two children. All were transported to a local hospital, with two suffering non-life-threatening injuries and three sustaining life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Camaro, identified as 25-year-old Courtney Diamond of Pelham, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency assistance came from the Colebrook Police and Fire Departments, New Hampshire Fish and Game, Pittsburg Police Department, Stratford Fire Department, and 45th Parallel EMS.
Route 3 was closed for approximately three and a half hours as Troopers conducted an investigation. All aspects of the crash remain under investigation.
