NORTH CHARLESTON, SC — A woman died in a single-vehicle crash on Calestown Road in Bonneau on Thursday, Sept. 11, at approximately 3:09 p.m., according to the Berkeley County Coroner's Office.
Maria E. Aguilar Velasquez, 37, of North Charleston, was an unrestrained passenger in a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee and was pronounced dead at the scene, officials reported.
Emergency responders included the Berkeley County Coroner's Office, Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, Berkeley County EMS, North Fire & Rescue, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Berkeley County Coroner's Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
