Fatal Crash on Highway 69 Claims Life in Overland Park
OVERLAND PARK, KS — A vehicle accident on Highway 69 resulted in the death of a 75-year-old woman on December 27, 2021.
Authorities said Barbara Patterson of Overland Park was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the incident, which occurred around 2:41 p.m. According to preliminary reports, two vehicles were involved in the collision, prompting emergency response teams to arrive.
Emergency Medical Services and the Overland Park Police Department were on-site to manage the situation and provide medical aid. The crash led to the closure of two lanes on Highway 69 for several hours as investigators worked to piece together the events leading to the accident.
No further injuries have been confirmed, and the investigation remains ongoing. Towing services were called to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
