Two Children Dead, Three Adults Injured in Woodbury Crash

WOODBURY, VT — Two young children are dead and three adults are injured following a on Vermont Route 14 on Saturday morning.

According to State Police, the crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. involving a Corolla and a F-250 near Hattie Bell Road. The passengers in the Corolla, a 2-year-old girl and an 8-year-old girl, were at the scene. One was secured in a seat while the other was wearing a seatbelt. The 38-year-old driver, Jonathan Ross of Danville, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

The driver of the pickup, 60-year-old Harry Dailey of Woodbury, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC) in Burlington. His passenger, 29-year-old Thomas Dailey, also of Woodbury, was at UVMMC with serious injuries. Police reported that Harry Dailey was wearing a seatbelt while Thomas was not.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the Corolla was traveling southbound when it failed to navigate a curve, crossed into oncoming traffic, and collided with Dailey's truck, which was heading north.
