OSAGE COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — A motorcyclist was fatally injured in a crash in Osage County on June 9.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 9 a.m. near Hwy 60 and 9 Mile Rd. Authorities said 44-year-old Jeremy Bearden was riding westbound on Hwy 60 when a box fell from his motorcycle. Bearden then pulled to the shoulder to allow another vehicle to pass.
While attempting to return to the roadway, Bearden's motorcycle was struck by another vehicle. He succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, with emergency responders on the scene at the time of the accident.
