LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A fatal collision occurred early Saturday morning at the intersection of East Warm Springs Road and Placid Street.
Authorities said a Nissan Pathfinder failed to yield at a posted stop sign while a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle approached without traffic control devices. The vehicles collided, ejecting the 23-year-old male motorcyclist.
Paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. The Nissan's driver sustained minor injuries and remained at the scene; he showed no signs of impairment and cooperated with law enforcement.
This incident marks the 51st traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas this year, according to LVMPD. An investigation is ongoing.
