(WJAR) — A Providence man died following a crash on I-95 south in Madison on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Connecticut State Police, the incident occurred at approximately 1:34 p.m. A vehicle in the left lane was struck from behind by another vehicle traveling at a high speed.
The driver of the rear vehicle, identified as 32-year-old Joseph Baez of Providence, was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
State police have stated that the crash remains under investigation. Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact 860-399-2100.
