One Dead, Four Injured in Brighton Two-Vehicle Crash
BRIGHTON, CO — One person died and four others sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Sunday afternoon, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene near the intersection of Powhaton Road and East 120th Avenue at 2:49 p.m. Authorities said two pickup trucks collided; however, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Paramedics transported four individuals to local hospitals, while one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased will be released by the Adams County Coroner's Office. Details regarding which individuals occupied each vehicle have not been disclosed.
As of Sunday evening, East 120th Avenue is closed at Powhaton Road due to cleanup efforts and the ongoing investigation. No estimated time for the road's reopening has been provided.
