Deputies Probe Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Georgetown Township.

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 32-year-old Jenison man was killed in a crash early Friday morning on Cottonwood Drive.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:50 a.m. as the man was turning on a Yamaha motorcycle and entered the path of a northbound .

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office (OCSO), the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The 21-year-old driver from Grand Rapids sustained injuries, as did one of his two passengers. Both were transported to the hospital for medical attention.

Authorities closed Cottonwood Drive between Baldwin Street and Bauer Road during the investigation; the roadway has since reopened. The OCSO is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
