PRINCETON, W.Va. (WCHS) — Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred early Thursday on Oakvale Road.
Shortly after midnight, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle, according to the Mercer County Sheriff's Office. The suspect's vehicle is described as a dark-colored 2013-18 Ram 1500 pickup truck, reportedly damaged on the passenger-side headlight.
Witnesses reported that the truck was heading toward the Athens Road intersection, possibly originating from a nearby Sheetz. Investigators are advising mechanics to watch for vehicles requiring front-end or headlight assembly repairs.
