A crash claimed the lives of two individuals in Kanawha County on Tuesday morning. Authorities reported that a pickup truck, operated by 56-year-old Matthew Cornell of Charleston, lost control while traveling on Kanawha State Forest Drive.
According to the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle veered off the road, collided with a tree, and overturned into a creek bed. Both Matthew Cornell and his passenger, 55-year-old Tracey Cornell, were pronounced dead at the scene.
No additional vehicles were involved in the incident. The crash is currently under investigation by the sheriff's office.

Two fatalities were confirmed following a truck accident in Kanawha County on Wednesday morning, deputies stated. The incident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. in the 1600 block of Kanawha State Forest Drive, where the truck was found overturned in a creek along the roadway.
