Mississippi College Athlete Leaves ICU After Leg Amputation

CLINTON, Miss. — Grayson Foster, a Mississippi College track athlete, has been discharged from the ICU following a motorcycle crash on June 15, 2025, on Robinson Spring Road in Madison County.

Initially in critical condition, Foster faced the amputation of one leg due to injuries sustained in the accident. His medical team is currently monitoring skin graft healing and swelling in his right arm, which was fractured and repaired surgically. An ultrasound is also being performed to assess blood flow.

According to authorities, the crash occurred when the back tire of Foster’s motorcycle slipped. A friend riding behind him acted swiftly, removing Foster’s helmet to assist his breathing until paramedics arrived.

Foster’s family and medical staff have emphasized the importance of continued support as he navigates his recovery.
