PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. (WKRC) — A police chase involving a U-Haul truck concluded with a crash in Paulding County on May 8.
According to the Paulding Sheriff's Office, deputies began pursuit after the U-Haul was observed driving recklessly. The driver, identified as Damian Jones, was wanted on multiple charges from other jurisdictions.
During the chase, the U-Haul collided with a pickup truck and several other vehicles. The pursuit ended when a deputy executed a PIT maneuver, causing the U-Haul to overturn in a church parking lot.
Jones was taken into custody, and investigators found drugs inside the vehicle. Specific charges against him have not been disclosed.
The incident prompted lane closures and an ongoing investigation by authorities.
