FRISCO, CO — A 41-year-old man died in a rear-end collision involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 70 on Monday night.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at 9:39 p.m. on westbound I-70 near mile marker 203, according to the Colorado State Patrol (CSP). A Frisco man was driving a Jeep Cherokee when he collided with a Peterbilt 379 tractor-trailer that was hauling a trailer, failing to slow down as he approached.
The driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity will be released by the Summit County Coroner's Office. The 42-year-old driver of the Peterbilt, from Thornton, was not injured.
