Front Range Man Killed in I-70 Collision with Tractor-Trailer.

FRISCO, CO — A 41-year-old man died in a collision involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 70 on Monday night.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at 9:39 p.m. on westbound I-70 near mile marker 203, according to the Colorado State Patrol (CSP). A Frisco man was driving a Cherokee when he collided with a Peterbilt 379 tractor-trailer that was hauling a trailer, failing to slow down as he approached.

The driver of the was at the scene. His identity will be released by the Summit County Coroner's Office. The 42-year-old driver of the Peterbilt, from Thornton, was not injured.

The CSP's Vehicular Crimes Unit is currently investigating the incident. Authorities encourage any witnesses who have not yet spoken to investigators to contact state patrol dispatch at 303-239-4501 and reference case VC260141.
