INDIANAPOLIS — A fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian occurred on the far east side Monday afternoon, according to authorities.
First responders were dispatched around 2:45 p.m. to the 4300 block of North German Church Road after reports of a person down. Upon arrival, officers found an adult woman who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the woman was struck by a vehicle and are treating the incident as a hit-and-run. The case remains under investigation.
