PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. (WKRC) — A high-speed police pursuit involving a U-Haul truck concluded with a crash on May 8.
According to the Paulding Sheriff's Office, the pursuit began when deputies observed the U-Haul driving recklessly in Paulding County. The driver, identified as Damian Jones, was wanted on charges from multiple counties.
During the chase, Jones reportedly collided with a truck and several other vehicles. The pursuit ended when a deputy executed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver, causing the U-Haul to flip onto its side in a church parking lot.
Jones was taken into custody, and investigators discovered drugs inside the vehicle. Authorities have not released specific charges at this time.
Emergency response included the Paulding Sheriff's Office, who are currently investigating the incident. No injuries were reported from the crash.
