Train–Pedestrian Collision in Arvada Kills One
ARVADA, CO—A train incident early Sunday morning claimed the life of a pedestrian on the G Line, according to police. The collision occurred at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Allison Street, near Ridge Road.
Authorities reported that the unidentified pedestrian was struck on the railway between the Arvada Ridge and Olde Town Arvada stations. “All rail crossing warning signals appear to be working at the time of the crash,” police stated.
The Regional Transportation District's G Line operates an 11-mile route stretching from Ward Road Station in Wheat Ridge to Union Station in Denver. As of 9:30 a.m. Sunday, there were no service alerts affecting the line.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage to gather more information about the incident. Details on the circumstances leading to the pedestrian being on the tracks have not been disclosed.
