32-Year-Old Dies in Electric Scooter Collision Crash

WILLIAMSTON, MI — A 32-year-old man is dead following a vehicle collision involving an electric scooter, according to the Williamston Police Department.

The incident occurred on Main Street at approximately 7:15 p.m. on October 10, 2023. Authorities reported that the victim was riding the electric scooter when he was struck by a pickup truck heading northbound.

Emergency responders, including the Williamston Fire Department and local paramedics, arrived at the scene and confirmed the fatality. The driver of the pickup remained on site and is cooperating with the investigation, according to authorities.

Main Street was closed for several hours to facilitate an investigation and vehicle retrieval, which included the involved scooter and truck.
