COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A three-vehicle crash on US-30 east of State Route 598 in Crawford County killed a Mansfield woman at 11:09 a.m. Saturday, May 2.
According to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, the collision occurred on US-30 just east of State Route 598 at 11:09 a.m.
Authorities identified the victim as Heather Blair, 50, of Mansfield.
Investigators said a 2002 Hyundai Tucson carrying a 74-year-old and a 64-year-old attempted to pass a 2022 Freightliner Cascadia, lost control, and entered the outer westbound lane. The Tucson came to rest on the shoulder facing east.
Deputies said the semi slowed to avoid a collision, and a 2015 Dodge Caravan with six people inside struck its left rear. The Caravan came to rest partially in the roadway, in the inner lane, facing north.
Authorities said two male passengers in the Caravan were transported to a hospital in critical condition, and two juveniles sustained minor injuries. The occupants of the other vehicles were not injured.
