18-Year-Old Dies in Head-On Crash in Northwest North Dakota on Saturday.

WILLIAMS COUNTY, N.D. – An 18-year-old man from Epping was killed in a near Williston on Saturday, May 2, around 4:48 p.m.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a 2004 Dakota, driven by the 18-year-old, traveled southbound on 124th Avenue Northwest, crossing into oncoming traffic at a high rate of speed. Simultaneously, a 2023 F-150, operated by a 42-year-old Williston man, was heading northbound. The vehicles collided near the intersection of 124th Avenue Northwest and 53rd Street Northwest, approximately 14 miles from Williston.

The Dakota driver sustained fatal injuries and was not wearing a seat belt. The driver, who was wearing his seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Authorities confirmed no charges are pending against him.

The incident occurred on a gravel road under normal driving conditions. The North Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
