PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — A man was hospitalized in stable condition following an overnight shooting in Providence on Sunday, October 1.
According to a Providence Police spokesperson, officers were dispatched to Bodell Ave. around 3:25 a.m. for reports of gunfire and a vehicle that had crashed into a building.
Upon arrival, police located a vehicle with multiple bullet holes that had struck the side of a housing unit. Shortly thereafter, officers were directed to Cleveland St., where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Authorities are conducting an investigation into both incidents.
