SWANSEA, MA — A motorcycle crash involving a dump truck on Route 6 at Milford Road claimed the life of a local man on Friday morning.
At approximately 8:20 a.m., a three-wheeled motorcycle, a Can Am Spyder Roadster, collided with a dump truck. The rider, identified as Alan Scott, 67, of Somerset, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, according to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.
The driver of the dump truck was not injured in the incident.
Swansea Police, along with State Police, are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities did not provide details regarding potential causes or any citations related to the incident.
