OKLAHOMA CITY – Two Oklahoma City police officers sustained minor injuries Tuesday night following a pursuit that ended in a crash near Interstate 240 and Santa Fe Avenue.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD), the incident began during a traffic stop at Southwest 44th Street and Walker Avenue. Officers discovered drugs in the suspect's vehicle and requested the driver to exit. The suspect fled the scene, prompting a brief pursuit.
Authorities reported that officers executed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) maneuver near I-240 and Santa Fe to halt the fleeing vehicle. The suspect subsequently collided head-on with a patrol car, resulting in minor injuries to the two officers. Fire and EMSA were dispatched to assess their condition.
The suspect was taken into custody, and officials also confirmed damage to a second patrol vehicle during the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
