Baby Abduction Suspect Arrested Following High-Speed Chase and Crash in Northern Kentucky.

CINCINNATI, OH (WKRC) – An Ohio man accused of abducting his infant child and leading law enforcement on a multi-county chase is in Hamilton County Jail after being released from the hospital.

Authorities said Brenton Howland forced the child's mother out of their vehicle on April 14 before fleeing. Boone County deputies attempted a traffic stop on Mt. Zion Road, but Howland accelerated away.

After two separate encounters with law enforcement, investigators reported that Howland sideswiped a deputy's cruiser while attempting to overtake another vehicle. The pursuit concluded when Howland crashed into the side of Walton United Methodist Church.

The infant was evaluated at Children's Hospital and has since been reunited with the mother. A deputy sustained minor injuries and was treated and released by St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Howland faces multiple charges in Kentucky, including fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, , and endangering the welfare of a minor. Additional charges are anticipated in Ohio, including in Greene County.

The investigation is ongoing, and lane closures were reported during the response and cleanup efforts.
