Greensville, TN. – One person was injured in a car crash on Tuesday afternoon in Greensville.
According to the Greeneville Police Department, the accident occurred on East Andrew Johnson Highway near South Rufe Taylor Road at around noon.
A vehicle reportedly ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a pickup truck that was turning left onto East AJ from South Rufe Taylor.
The man driving the pickup truck was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated before being transported to Johnson City Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
