SUFFOLK, Va. — Suffolk police are investigating a crash involving a CSX Transportation train and a commercial motor vehicle that occurred Monday afternoon.
The incident took place around 2:15 p.m. in the 1200 block of Portsmouth Boulevard at an uncontrolled railroad crossing.
Authorities reported no injuries as a result of the crash, which did not cause the train to derail.
The train came to a stop following the collision, while the commercial vehicle sustained visible damage.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by police.
