INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A fatal collision involving an Indianapolis Department of Public Works salt truck and a pickup truck occurred early Saturday morning at approximately 2 a.m.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene at West 34th Street and Dandy Trail. Authorities reported that the salt truck was stopped at a red light when the pickup truck struck it from behind.

The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 32-year-old Dorian Monte Worthe, was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but succumbed to his injuries.
