CLIFTON, ME—A golf cart crash sent three people to the hospital Saturday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded to 220 Hopkins Pond Road at approximately 3:30 p.m. The crash involved a golf cart with six occupants; no other vehicles were reported, according to the EDDINGTON FIRE DEPARTMENT.
“We were dispatched to a report of an accident involving a golf cart. That's a private camp dirt road. We arrived and found multiple patients,” Deputy Chief Craig Russell stated.
Three individuals sustained injuries not considered serious and were transported to a local hospital, while the remaining three did not require medical attention.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
