COLUMBUS, Ohio — A pedestrian died after being struck by an eastbound car on East Dublin Granville Road near Interstate 71 in north Columbus late Friday.
According to Columbus police, the collision happened just before 11 p.m. near the southbound ramp to I-71 as the vehicle traveled east.
Authorities identified the pedestrian as 53-year-old Florence Vitka. She was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
