Trump Honors Six U.S. Service Members in Dignified Transfer Following Fatal Refueling Crash.

On March 18, President Donald Trump attended a dignified transfer ceremony for six U.S. service members killed in a KC-135 refueling aircraft crash in Iraq.

The crash occurred over friendly territory while supporting operations against Iran. All six crew members died in the incident last week.

According to the U.S. Air Force, the personnel were:

  • Maj. John “Alex” Klinner, 33, of Auburn, Alabama
  • Capt. Ariana G. Savino, 31, of Covington, Washington
  • Tech. Sgt. Ashley B. Pruitt, 34, of Bardstown, Kentucky
  • Capt. Seth R. Koval, 38, of Mooresville, Indiana
  • Capt. Curtis J. Angst, 30, of Wilmington, Ohio
  • Tech. Sgt. Tyler H. Simmons, 28, of Columbus, Ohio

The ceremony at Dover Air Force Base was attended by family members of the deceased. Draped in American flags, the transfer cases were handled with precision and respect.

Authorities noted that such ceremonies are solemn responsibilities for the President, focusing on service and sacrifice without political discourse.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with no further details released at this time.
