Two students killed and at least seven injured in Tennessee field trip bus crash.

CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — A school carrying students from the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System was involved in a fatal accident on Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 2:41 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 70 and Cedar Grove. Authorities confirmed that the crash involved a from Kenwood Middle School, a Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) dump truck, and a Chevrolet Trailblazer.

There were a total of 30 individuals on the bus, including 25 students and five adults. Tragically, two students lost their lives. The TDOT vehicle contained two adults, while one adult was in the Chevrolet. No further details about their conditions have been released.

According to the Associated Press, at least seven additional individuals sustained injuries during the incident. Emergency personnel are currently on the scene, which remains active as investigators from the Tennessee Highway Patrol work to determine the cause of the crash.

Families of all passengers have been notified, and recovery efforts, including air medical transport, are ongoing. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

Governor Bill Lee expressed his condolences via social media, encouraging prayers for all affected. The Clarksville-Montgomery County School District has also released a statement confirming the details and extending condolences to the families involved.
