JUPITER ISLAND, Fla. (WPEC) — Professional golfer Tiger Woods was involved in a rollover crash on Friday afternoon, authorities confirmed.
At approximately 1 p.m., Woods was in the vicinity of 281 Beach Road when the incident occurred. The Martin County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the crash, though no additional details were available immediately.
According to a source from Martin County Fire Rescue, the crash involved two vehicles, one of which overturned. One individual was reported stable, while another declined medical transport. Fire Rescue officials stated there were no injuries to anyone involved.
Sheriff John Budensiek will hold a media briefing at 5 p.m. at Jupiter Island Town Hall, at which further information is expected to be disclosed.
Woods has been involved in previous vehicle incidents, most notably on February 23, 2021, when he sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Rolling Hills Estates, California. Investigators later determined that accident was not the result of impairment.
