ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — St. Johns County Sheriff's Office deputies rescued a man from a burning vehicle following a multi-car crash on Interstate 95 on March 1.

According to authorities, the incident involved multiple vehicles, one of which was fully engulfed in flames. The driver of that vehicle had been and lay critically close to the wreckage, unable to move.

Deputies navigated through thick brush to reach the injured man. Bodycam footage shows deputies pulling him to safety just as flames intensified. “I don't want that thing to f** explode,” one deputy stated during the rescue.
