GREEN BAY, WI — A bus crash on Sunday just after 2:30 p.m. injured 33 people, prompting extensive emergency response.
The Green Bay Police Department reported that the bus, carrying 54 passengers, was traveling from Chicago to a Michigan casino when it crashed off an Interstate 43 exit ramp at Webster Avenue.
Authorities stated that the bus failed to stop at a stop sign and drove straight into an embankment, approximately 4 to 5 feet high, landing in a paved area between two warehouses.
First responders found multiple individuals requiring medical attention. Thirty-three injured passengers were transported to local hospitals, with injuries ranging from critical to minor.
