A Fairfield Township man died following a head-on crash on Ohio 129 near Ohio 747 in Liberty Township on March 21.
Joshua Back, 34, of Fairfield Township, died just before 6 p.m. at University of Cincinnati West Chester Hospital on March 21, according to the Butler County Coroner's Office.
About 30 minutes earlier, he crashed the Mazda6 he was driving head-on into a Ford F-150, according to an Ohio crash report.
A Butler County Sheriff's Office release said Back was driving recklessly and sideswiped a silver SUV while turning onto Ohio 747. He then made a U-turn and continued southbound on Ohio 747.
As he approached the bridge on Ohio 129, Back struck the Ford F-150 head-on, authorities said. The Mazda stopped after hitting the bridge's guardrail.
The SUV driver was not injured, according to authorities. The Ford's driver and passenger were taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
The Butler County Sheriff's Office Traffic Accident Response Team is investigating.
