Police Search for Driver in Fatal Hit-and-Run on I-70
DENVER, CO — A hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning on eastbound Interstate 70 left one person dead, according to authorities.
Denver Police responded at 4:15 a.m. to the collision near Havana Street, situated between the Montbello and Central Park neighborhoods. Four vehicles were involved in the incident, and one driver fled the scene on foot, police said.
The identity of the deceased will not be released until confirmed by the Medical Examiner's Office.
Eastbound I-70 experienced lane closures for several hours but reopened later that morning, as stated in a post by the Denver Police Department at 10:56 a.m.
