CASPER, Wyo. (WKRC) — A 30-year-old woman reported missing in Natrona County was found dead in a vehicle on Casper Mountain Road Sunday morning.
First responders were dispatched to the scene at approximately 9:20 a.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle that had left the road and crashed through a guardrail. The sole occupant was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Casper Police Department.
Authorities identified the victim as Kandice Gunter, who had been missing since October 29. The Natrona County Coroner's Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and the cause of death; however, no evidence of foul play has been identified.
Family members reported Gunter missing when she failed to pick up her two children, ages 6 and 9, from the Boys & Girls Club. Witnesses indicated that such an absence was uncharacteristic for her.
Gunter had recently relocated to Casper from Nevada to be closer to her children. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities continue to gather information regarding the incident.
