A Learjet 60 crashed near Greenacres, Florida, around 12:50 p.m. ET on Nov. 1, killing all nine aboard.

According to authorities, the jet departed Austin, Texas, and was bound for the Bahamas. Seven passengers and two crew members were killed.

One person on the ground suffered a leg injury, authorities said.

The National Transportation Safety Board is leading the investigation. Officials said thunderstorms were moving through the area at the time.

According to air traffic control audio posted by LiveATC, the crew reported icing, “moderate” turbulence and requested smoother conditions before the crash.

NTSB member Thomas Chapman said investigators found evidence the aircraft began breaking apart before impact; the cause remains undetermined.

Family members identified the passengers as Adam Robinson, 45; Helen Sharp, 40; their children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2; the children's nanny, Anita Maria Cetina; and another couple, Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr. The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner said formal identifications are pending.

Former Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon said on Nov. 2 he was “absolutely devastated” and had flown on the same aircraft last month, according to his social media post.
