BONNEVILLE COUNTY, Idaho — Two people were injured Sunday morning when a pickup truck towing a trailer rolled over on US-20 near Idaho Falls.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:11 a.m. near milepost 295, according to the Idaho State Police (ISP). A 65-year-old man from Rapid City, South Dakota, was driving a GMC Sierra towing a single-axle trailer with a 75-year-old woman as a passenger.
Authorities said the trailer began to swerve, crossing into the westbound lanes. The driver attempted to correct course but lost control, causing the GMC to roll down an embankment and land on its cab. Both occupants were wearing seat belts and sustained minor injuries. They were transported to a local hospital via ambulance.
The highway was closed in both directions for approximately 30 minutes during the emergency response. The Bonneville County Sheriff's Office, Idaho Falls Fire Department, and Idaho Falls Paramedics assisted at the scene.
ISP noted that the crash is still under investigation.
