DELAWARE COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — A 70-year-old woman died following a crash in Delaware County on Thursday at approximately 4 p.m.
Emergency crews responded to the incident on Hwy 28 at 4th St. According to authorities, a vehicle veered off the road, breached a fence, and collided with a concrete wall.
The passenger, identified as Lavonne Fraser, was positioned with her legs on the dashboard during the impact and sustained fatal injuries.
Investigators believe the driver may have experienced a medical episode that contributed to the crash. No further details regarding the driver's condition have been released.
The roadway was temporarily closed as authorities conducted their investigation and cleared the scene.
